I'd suggest another center than Paul. He's played well but I don't see him being a successful conduit between a couple talented offensive forwards. I worry he'll end up producing a Beagle levels at about 3m per.

Drop the second from Buffalo. You can retain half and Myers still isn’t worth a second.

Sabres trade no happening - retention give nothing to them and Myers is not worth 2nd.

You've got a valid point. I was trying to add more 'sandpaper'. Any thoughts that would fit that role?
I thought about Petty on 3rd C, but I just think that Petty is better at wing than centre. Love to hear thoughts on that too!

There are many line choices for sure. Petey is a C and likely to continue developing as a top C but can play wing if they load up the top 6 or run the lotto line. If they keep JT and run three centers, no need to worry about Paul. If they did that, I'd be happy to see something like Pod/Petey/Brock Kuz(Domi?)/JT/Garland Pearson/Bo/Hog and keep a budget 4th line.

Say they load up the top 6 though, I think Jarnkrok would be a good right handed C on a bargain deal. Bjugstad might be a sub 1m steal option as well or a 13th forward who could fill in. Maybe even Nico Sturm who has size, speed, good in the faceoff dot with a bit of offense could be added to play with Uhaul and Lockwood. Those are a few options who might be better dollar wise. Paul is definitely a good player though I can see someone paying him 3m+
