if Varly decides to not waive, then that is that, but if he does, it would be a good trade for Detroit. He's a solid G and could at the very least be shipped out at TDL to get at least a 2nd back.

We already have Nedeljkovic. It makes no sense to trade a 2nd for Varly. Trade him somewhere else. There's much cheaper options for Detroit.

yeah but there was a solid 2-3 months where Neddy looked pretty subpar (not to mention having one of the biggest bloopers of the entire season). I don't think it would hurt to have someone reliable to split the net with him for another year.
