Not enough to acquire Scheifele even without retention, he's a line 1 center. Expect a return similar to Eichel's if he is traded for picks and prospects. If Nick Paul was taking 2.5, he would have been in Ottawa and if he takes that it would be to stay in Tampa. Husso at 3m sounds nice, but he's probably going to need more to come to Toronto.

That’s an offer the Jets don’t even consider. Also they aren’t retaining any salary on a contract meant to be team friendly.

When you put it that way, he might fetch more than a disgruntled, injured Eichel did depending if the team acquiring him views him as a two-year rental or not, and how close they think getting him brings them to winning.

WPG would want an immediate impact player, so a pkg of only prospects and picks, regardless of how good they are, likely won't do it for them.

Canucks literally have no draft capital so shouldn't be moving picks but 3rd for Kerfoot represents value.
