That is a huge overpayment for Kase.

Also, that deal with CHI is all quantity and no quality. They don't need guys like that. They're rebuilding and need picks/prospects.

I can't imagine the Islanders giving up any asset to trade for a guy almost guaranteed to miss 25+ games every year, especially when I can't think of anyone in their top 9 that he's a clear upgrade over.

The guy is worth a 4th. Plus it's his rights, which has lower value for players like this.

Look the isles have like one forward who doesn’t grade our well. If they replace Greene and Chara I’m sure everything will be ok.
