Hard for the Flames to say no to that, I think, but the difficulty would be finding a replacement at his price.
They've put a lot of years into developing him and I doubt they'd give him away in his final RFA years.

Every team listed says no. Bailey trade is probably fair, but Arizona doesn’t believe in winning.

We don’t need another 5’11” winger. Our top 6 wingers are pretty set, we’re looking for centers. I believe OTT will put 7OA on the table for Fiala, so NYI would have to beat that. Don’t think this deal does anything to beat 7OA and a prospect.

I agree, but don’t think Ottawa should make the deal either

Fiala has shown us who he is in the post season. Maybe it’s the lack of a top six pivot but still.

It certainly seems like Dorian is desperate. 5 year playoff brought will do that though.

Dobson gets at least 5 on a bridge

Leddy apparently wants 4.5 x 4 and he’s one of the worst defenseman in the NHL. Hard pass. I wouldn’t sign him to league minimum

Guerin will want a 1st and C prospect they can't afford Beauvillier for Kevin Fiala.

Yzerman offered Nick Leddy $4,500,000 x 3 years and he turned it down. Leddy isn't signing that low ball deal.

Nah, he’s never played with elite talent in the playoffs. In the playoffs the game steps up. Guys like Freddie and Boldy didn’t step up. Fiala had no help and then had to do everything himself. Which didn’t work. Get him a legit offensive C or another playmaker and watch out.

I agree with you about the center issue, but idk if Fiala is the type of guy who raises his game in the playoffs.

There were quite a few clutch moments from him during the season. He’s a very confident guy, I think with another weapon he’d be even more dangerous. I wish we’d keep him to be honest. I see 90+ point potential every year. 85+ with a rookie and a defensive first (probably best suited for 3/4th line role) is quite impressive imo. Whoever gets him is going to be very pleased with Fiala the player.

I like him, but there is the issue of price. Don’t move center prospects for wings.

I never would, but GMs can do abnormal things when they’re desperate. Billy G still has leverage here, as long as several teams are interested. I’m curious to see what the return ends up being.

Josh Bailey: 14 goals, 30 assists, 44 pts in 74 games

Phil kessel: 8 goals, 44 assists, 52 pts in 82 games. Couldn’t get moved at the deadline for anything at half retained. Josh Bailey isn’t worth a 2nd, Arizona would want a 2nd to take him. Look beyond the fandom

Yotes retained on 3 players which is the limit. Kessel also has a NMC. Look beyond your fandom, or lack there of.

The difference is not only minuscule, but also showcases the incompetence of the Arizona State University Coyotes. They should’ve been relocated before the Kraken and Golden Knights entered the league. Don’t tell me to look beyond my fandom when you are not only a Coyotes fan but don’t know what your talking about.

They didn’t retain on kessel because there was no offer, so they took the caps deal for larsson instead. Wouldn’t expect you to know that though, you think Bailey is worth a 2nd

You have literally no idea what you’re talking about and it’s quite comical. He was willing to waive to go to a playoff team, none wanted him
