Uncharacteristic Move

Description
Like the title says, I Think this would be an uncharacteristic move by Chevy. He doesn’t really do big things unless he’s forced to. If I were him, I’d be trying to package to get the 2nd overall pick from NJ.

On that note, NJ fans can you tell me what you’d want for it? Jets could offer #14 + NYR’s first plus another piece if there’s any interest. Just let me know what you think that piece would need to be or if it would need to be a straight up for someone more established. Heinola is on the board. Other options available too. Scheifele is NJ wants to bolster their F group.

Juraj Slafkovsky is the guy I’d draft at 2. I think he’s going to be an exceptional talent, he also could be NHL ready and is proving it. if the jets get good coaching I think they can do some damage next year.

I was just proposing it as a base to a trade, wanted to know what else it would take for NJ to be interested.

#2 to #14 is too far a drop unless it’s a real legit piece.

#2 for Ehlers/#14

Something like that with pieces added as need for roster/salary/balance

Thank you for actual feed back. I was just trying to build a base for this type of deal. It would take that much hey? I can’t say I’m surprised as NJ would only be moving the pick for an impact player.

Like you said it would likely need one of the players we don’t want to move..but it’s definitely an interesting idea to ponder
