Don't see the Barrie deal happening with Seattle. They like their defenders to be able to do just that -- defend. His offense is nice, but would probably fall flat on this team as there be no McDavid and Draisaitl here to inflate his value. Pretty sure Francis takes a crack at the ufa market. . . . Klingberg is my guess, paired with Oleksiak, again.

You can probably get Juolevi for free. I'd be surprised if Yzerman qualifies him.

Yea the trade to Detroit is really pointless. Even if Detroit keeps him, thats a swap that doesnt really matter.

If I am Ottawa im not giving up 2 2nds to move up 7-10 spots in the draft unless im completely sold on someone who i dont think will be there that 7 spots later.

Keith is still going to play so youll have to take his contract into consideration (thank you ken holland)... and honestly this team might score goals, but they are going to give up a ton more with this back end and goaltending tandem. I would say this team is worse like this on that back end than they are now.

I don't think Ottawa SHOULD do anything like this, but it's definitely in Pierre Dorion's M.O. to unnecessarily zero in on one guy in the draft and then trade up to get him, so there's absolutely a world in which this happens
