Pure nonsense from a Habs fan, but to your credit you didn't trade Laffy to the Habs for garbage like Dvorak.

Nonsense ? What is nonsense about this

As much as it may hurt, letting both Strome and Copp walk might be the best option.

It will take creativity to find a replacement down the middle (hopefully Chytil's Playoff performance is here to stay, and not a flash in the pan), but the Cap savings would matter greatly.

The upcoming financial crunch is a big deal. Having a few cheaper options around without the $5.5-$6M that Copp could likely get, would definitely help.

Rangers are signing Copp or Strome, most likely Copp. They didn't trade for him to let him walk, especially after how he has played since joining the team, so the premise is nonsense. Second, the trades are nonsense. Worry about the Habs, they need your genius way more than the Rangers do.

I dont know if you can see but I am right next to the cap without having Copp at 5M+
I payed to get rid of Nemeth contract and adding a proven decent goal scorer at the cost of Lunqvist who is stuck being Fox Trouba Schneider
Georgiev QO is around 2.65M if I remember correctly, Rangers can't offer that
The deal with Roy favors NEW YORK by the way, but because Vegas are right next to the cap, they probably can't afford Roy, so getting two players who can play in the NHL with contracts under 1M works for them. Again, after seeing your last post, you shouldnt be commenting on others AGM

I'll comment on any post I like, just like you can. The Rangers can easily fit Copp or Strome under the cap and will sign one of them, so they have zero need for Roy. ZERO. Maybe the habs should sign him?

Umm rangers are in a bad cap situation. I wouldn’t be shocked if Kappo gets OS for 4 mill since the rangers can’t pay that right now

Maybe it would work for one year having Hunt on the top 6 again, but the year after Lafreniere and Miller needs new deal and they will ask for money. They might get offersheet, it wouldnt be good for NY to resign Copp or Strome. But I do agree Copp might come back, but if they are being wise, let both go

It's really not nonsense dude. I'm very confident the Rangers will sign one of Copp/Strome, but this ACGM is very practical.

Ignore him. I've seen him in many threads acting like this to other users.
Disagreement is fine. Criticism is fine to some extent. Ridicule is shameful.

I'll try to give you a more constructive feedback. If there's one thing I agree about with delneggs it's that it's very doubtful the Rangers let both of them go. This ACGM is on the verge of the cap ceiling without them, but what this ACGM also includes is Denis Gurianov. While I'd very much like to see him in New York, I'd rather strengthen 2C, in which I'd prefer both of Strome and Copp to Nicolas Roy. Moreover, that trade is contingent on the Stars's plans with him. It's a big "if" for lack of a better way to put it.

You are correct that the Stars trade is very helpful for the Rangers as it exchanges two players high on our trade block for a Frank Vatrano replacement.
You are correct that the Rangers can afford Georgiev's QO.
You are correct that the Rangers get the better of the trade with Vegas.

Maybe Drury knows more than you about their cap situation? Worry about the Habs, they need the help.

The Rangers cap is tight but they will work out any nonsense OS for Kakko, IF it happens.

Lets see what happens. Let's see if this has any bearing in reality when the season is over. My bet is no. Not even close.

You’re currently spending $6.95M on Roy and Gurianov. Copp has been rumored to earn about $5.5M on his next contract which leaves $1.45M available. That can buy a better player than Hunt.

2023-24 won’t be as constricting of a cap crunch as 2022-23 (unless something changes) with all of our buyout money coming off the books. I’m not worried about Miller or Laffy pricing out of our budget.
