Description
Dubas says he expects the prospects to take the next step. I put most of the ones I saw mentioned on the main roster. Do I think this is what it would look like? Probably not. I imagine the Leafs will be searching for a bigger trade than what I've proposed. Even if they don't, I suspect Dubas will make a few low risk signings and PTOs to give some competition. But I'm not smart enough to guess who they might target.

Is Campbell over paid? Yeah. But I wouldn't be surprised if that is what he gets. And I'm not loving the Leafs other options. Although I do think there are plenty of affordable backup options. I went with Wedgewood because I like him and he's from the GTA. I know the rumour is the Leafs will be in the market for 2 goalies, but I'm doing this because I'm bored and I'm not getting paid millions of dollars. This is more to show that this is doable with Campbell making 5 million. Not necessarily saying he should or should not.

I have Matthews and Marner split up. I know they have great chemistry, but I would love to see them driving their own lines. Keefe is not afraid to mix up his lines in game so they could still get ice time together during most games.

I also have Muzzin playing on his off side. If I remember correctly he didn't want to do it in the past, but he and Rielly had some success when they tried it a few years ago with Rielly on the right. Muzzin has a better shot for one timers and honestly, I'd rather Rielly on his strong side. If Muzzin would be willing to try it, I think it's worth a look.

Holl is an expensive 7th dman. But his problems aside, he's a very good 7th dman. I didn't see a realistic option I liked better and he fit cap wise in my structure so he stayed.

I'll miss Kerfoot, Mikheyev, Boosh, and Kase (although apparently Kase might resign?), but cap casualties are a thing.

Anyway, I look forward to being told I'm wrong and being called an idiot.

Probably the most accurate leafs offseason I’ve seen. Kerfoot is worth a 3rd, just not from Vancouver.

I think it’s more likely they buyout mrazek and trade away Holl though. Same cap savings but doesn’t cost a 1st

Agree Vancouver won't take Kerfoot and give up a pick. He is a decent player but not what Canucks are looking for.

I don't think you're wrong at all and certainly not an idiot. Well thought out. Maybe Dubas does a little better? Maybe not? I'm also in the camp that Dubas will find a suitor for Holl. He found one for Dermott.

I do think if the Leafs choose to move Holl, it should not be too difficult to move him and get something. Just not sure what or who.

CHI would be accepting this however why not just buyout?
