You can justify this to yourself in any way you want to, it’s still a terrible take.

It's really not. Jfresh will release player cards when they sign this summer but this was literally their player cards from just last year

Hey no disrespect, but you should do your research about wild. But this is typical from leafs fans like yourself. Not a chance like ever is Guerin bringing in Tony DeAngelo. Alex G didn't sign two years nmc to get traded. Dumba isn't being traded for 2nd round pick and shea Weber contract. Minnesota isn't trading Zuccarello . Minnesota isn't trading a 1st round pick and more for a d they don't need. Seems you are just baiting fans of wild and other teams
The wild won't win with this core you need to make moves like this

    Quoting: Wildnochance
Minnesota under Guerin wouldn't ever sign him. But hey typical of bait

how i am batiing, you get a better and younger Dman in Deanglo

Where do you get these stats from? Also I agree that I would keep Mangiapane over fiala straight up from the flames perspective.

Ah never mind jfresh. I just woke up I didn't see it.

These valuations are all over the place.

Goligoski is somehow worth a 2nd from San Jose, but Dumba needs Weber’s LTIR contract attached to the 2nd in return?

Sanheim somehow returns 1st+2nd+2nd for him to walk in a year cause Minnesota can’t afford to re-sign him. Explain the 1st+2nd difference from Sanheim to Dumba.

Hartman, a guy with over 30 goals and 30 assists this year, is somehow only worth a 3rd in 2024? 2024? Really…

That Calgary trade has way too many pieces involved.

Dumba is a cap dump thats why

My mistake on the age, Mangiapane was drafted a year after as an over ager. As for offense, Fiala just happened to get more secondary assists. Mangiapane had the better xGF/60 and CF/60. Fiala had a better offensive GAR but Mangiapane's total GAR was better due to the sheer gap in their defensive games. From a logical standpoint where Calgary wants to keeps all their main FA's taking the eventual cheaper 2nd liner that fits the Flames system way better is clear better option

Fiala had 11 more primary assists than Mangiapane had total assists.

"Fiala just happened to get more secondary assists."

Mangiapane had a better CF% and xGF% than Kaprizov. Surely you're not gonna sit here and say he is better than Kaprizov?

I like how you are using a chart for 18-19, 19-20, and 20-21 as if it's supposed to mean something. Fiala is clearly weighed down by the 18-19 season where he was traded to Minnesota and looked awful.

He's not better than Kaprizov overall but at 5v5 Mangiapane was one of the most effective players in the league this year. Look at the 2 player cards I posted above. I am confident Mangiapane will still have a higher WAR% than Fiala once Jfresh posts them after their next deals are signed.

I think you severely underrate how good Mange was this year and only want to look at total points. Fiala is a good player, that's not being questioned but Mangiapane is pretty on par with him, especially when you factor in 2-way game. Mange will likely be 1-2M cheaper to sign and that cap space will be very important for resigning Gaudreau and Tkachuk. To me that is a pretty easy no 1 for 1 based just off that

You realize only the graph shows from the previous years right? All the numbers there were strictly from last year

Sanhiems value is pretty close to what I’d expect them to land, probably worth considerably more but think that’s what they’d get

How does Dumba get a 2nd+Weber's contract, but Sanheim gets 1st+2nd+2nd? The rationale for each trade is what I'm questioning cause it feels like Minnesota is just trading away a 1st and 2nd round pick for the "privilege" of owning Weber's contract.

Ah. I didn’t even see that part, yeah Dumba has more value there and the contract thing shouldn’t even be in the deal

Hence why I said " Jfresh will release player cards when they sign this summer" and "I am confident Mangiapane will still have a higher WAR% than Fiala once Jfresh posts them after their next deals are signed"

Come back in 3 months when they are posted and Mange's is still better

Your stats mean literally nothing because they are not up to date. And no **** Kaprizov is a better, he blows Mangiapane out of the water. The fact that your phrasing seems to suggest that Mangiapane is even remotely close to Kaprizov is truly shocking.

Nah, I just don't overrate Mangiapane like you do. But hey, if you think Mangiapane is on par with Fiala then I hope Calgary pays him the same $7.5-8M per season.
