Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Bourque, Mavrik
Additional Details:
This would make a nice splash at draft day in MTL. Bourque is the best player in QMJHL right now. With Bourque, Roy and potentially Guhle, the rocket would have an amazing team to watch and top prospects in the pipes to help the rebuild.
DAL
  1. Kidney, Riley
  2. 2022 1st round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
Dallas fans is that enough? I could also offer S.Farrell + 2nd pick (33 OA)
2.
MTL
  1. Gauthier, Julien [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Two young RFA's that underperform. (They were drafted 21OA and 51OA. They don't have much value, depht players that could benefit a change of scenary. No risk/potential reward trade for both sides, and MTL ads a local player.
NYR
  1. Clague, Kale [RFA Rights]
3.
MTL
  1. Dadonov, Evgeni
  2. Roy, Nicolas [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Vegas absolutely needs to shed some salary. I don't know if Dadonov would waive for MTL but he sure is an asset that the knights want to get rid of. The cost to move him would be the gap between Poehling and Roy (they also save money here). MTL adds another local player.
VGK
  1. Poehling, Ryan
Additional Details:
Cost controlled player that won't produce as much as Roy did but can surely play on a bottom 6.
4.
BUF
  1. Armia, Joel
Additional Details:
Might add late picks to balance. Cap reason trade. It also helps Buffalo reach cap floor.

If you ask a Dallas fan, why woulld he say no? Kidney is also a great prospect just a bit under Bourque and you give them a 1st too?

Overpay from MTL, but DAL won't give it to you if you make a prospect swap unless you overpay so I GUESS fair value in a realistic world

Why would we give up a 1st round pick for a mostly lateral move their D+1 production was almost identical and bourque already has injury problems

Eh why not, he can’t be worse than Tinordi and Hajek… right?

Girgensons is a captain lol. Im not opposed to taking a shot at Armeia, but the Sabres arent going to give up an asset for him. Hitting the cap floor is not going to be an issue

Didn't want to offend any Sabres fan out here lol I didn't know Zemgus had that much leadership. We don't hear about him very often, I thought he was an okay bottom 6 player.

I'd keep Armia if I had the cap space, but I don't. I just wanted to trade him for a bottom 6 player that might be less talented but a little cheaper to make the team fit the cap. I understand I didn't target the right player, thanks for your feedback! Maybe Someone like Anders Bjork would be a better fit in here?

We’d definitely give u Bjork for free if u want
Idk that we’d have interest in Armia, our forwards are pretty much set for next year with a couple kids ready to make the leap from the AHL

Someone out there would likely take Armia off your hands though
Seattle? Ottawa? Columbus?

If you need an NHLer, Bjork works or someone like Weissbach, Huglen, or Biro if you want to take a flyer on a prospect

If they move Mitts for a RD, Armeia may be a fine addition to Girgensons/Okposo

Armia's contract is pretty bad with still 3 years term. Pretty sure teams won't want him unless there is an incitative coming with. As habs are rebuilding, I don't want us to pay any quality asset to move him (unless its B prospects or late picks). That's why I thought of an NHLer that is a worst player as Armia lol, a team could use Armia on his 3rd and we get someone to play along Evans on our 4th (or a scratch).

I'd rather keep Armia and have only 2 scratches than pay some assets to move him

I just don’t see why either team would do it. Dallas would be giving up the better prospect which is rarely a good idea. And Montreal would be giving up a lot for a guy that hasn’t done anything at the NHL level yet
