Additional Details:
This trade I'm a little skeptical since white's value isn't the highest right now but I would say the if Chicago is willing to go into a rebuild then taking a shot on a young player like white is not a big worry since his contract does not last super long and there is a chance he could develop in the right situation. If the value isn't fully there with a 3rd then I think that a 2nd would be enough.

  2. Brown, Connor ($1,800,000 retained)
  3. 2022 4th round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Both players end up not fitting in the lineup after the previous acquisitions so I move them to the Oilers. Brown at 50% retained would absolutely fetch a 1st depending on the team and I think his style fits the oilers well. If Barrie is moved then Brannstrom offers a good replacement as a offensive dman on a cheaper contract. He can also play the right side so Broberg can still come up to the roster if that is what the Oilers want. The sens acquire a d-man prospect and depth with McLeod. I still felt however that the value was still a bit favored toward the sens so I felt a 4th would make it more even

Signing Norris for 2 years makes him a FA at year 3. Better to sign him long term - even if it costs more.

I think you've made some interesting suggestions but values might be a bit off. White is a buyout candidate which puts his value at a negative. Unless there are multiple bidders - he likely has no trade value.

Konecky - likely will be a billing war so Phil may want more.

Brown and Branstrom are an interesting fit on Edmonton. Again - have to value the players a bit closer to current ability. Branstrom is borderline NHL player right now.

Marino would be a great fit but probably need more to Pitts for him. JBD and a first likely would get it done I would guess

Edmonton would decline - Bouchard is why Barrie can be moved, Broberg plays both sides, McLeod plays PP, PK, up and down the lineup, and you're asking for a first. Connor Brown has one year to UFA, and even eating on his contract, can't see this being of interest to Edmonton.

I would be very curious how management of pitt and ottawa thought of this trade that has been circulating on here recently. There are certainly fans on both sides that like it, I think I might be one of them. The question for pitt would be two-fold:

a) can the player selected at 7 (probably savoie, kemell or kasper, if we are very lucky nemec, jiriciek, or gauthier) contribute at some point within the next three years on an elc to the point where it is a smart move in terms of trying to get crosby one more cup AND building our future.
b) can we find a suitable RD in FA. Perhaps Josh Manson? A guy like that - someone who can be defensive and physical while complementing Mike Matheson.

These are questions only management would know

If love Lassi, but he doesn’t get this deal done, especially with the Pitt first.

Flyers probably would take that deal if they were entering a complete rebuild but Bob Clarke via his puppet GM Fletcher are doing an "aggressive retool".
