Sharks would think long and hard about this deal, on the one hand that 1st and Engvall are very tempting and Labanc needs a change of scenery. but sharks already have 3 nhl goalies and need to move 1 and all this does is force us to move a 2nd.
it’s almost too fair and I think Toronto fans would hate this but we would have to pass unless we have offers in place for both Reimer and Hill
Plus Labanc perpetuates your teams issue! tons off offensive talent with a disregard for defense that will fail in the playoffs for you.

Doubt anyone is going to offer the Sharks anything for LaBanc after the seasons he just had. 3 bad years back to back. They'd be lucky to move him for Mrazek 1:1, definitely won't get a return like this for him.

i agree after his year and the uncertainty of the shoulder injury but his metrics have been solid and to be fair he needs to be in a supporting role and the sharks have been forcing him to be a lead on his line and that’s what has lead to his downfall.
but yes a 1 for 1 is more likely, however we have less than zero want or need for a 4th nhl goalie.

Labanc would be a decent buy low candidate but he's not bringing back a 1st, even with mrazek stapled to it
palhal liked this.

Muzzin doesn't waive to Jersey. Rather buyout Mrzarek than giving up a first just to obtain the overpriced ineffective Lebanc

you sure have NJ taking alot of dead weight for no return. retain tartar salary and take on muzzin when he doesnt have much use. you would need to add something that we would want to make this happen. 5.65+2.25= 7.875 mil cap space for a guy who would be 3rd pair dman

Devils aren't retaining on a serviceable middle sixer only to help the Leafs out with Muzzin's cap.
