Description

With decent assets being given up at the deadline for a non-contending team, I made the assumption here that Wedgewood and Namestnikov will be re-signed. With the Holl to Dallas rumors, I tried to find a trade that was fair value trade-wise and mutually benefits both teams.

Where was the Holl to Dallas rumor posted? I don’t dislike Holl but he doesn’t replace the offense we’re losing with Klinger. Tho maybe the thought process is Harley might

Elliotte Friedman apparently. That's why a bunch of Leafs fans have been posting Holl to Dallas trades. Apparently Dallas and Toronto were talking about a Holl trade near the deadline too but unable to come to an agreement. With Toronto probably needing to move him to re-sign everyone, I'm guessing the asking price has dropped. Would prefer bringing him in for next season over taking Petry from Montreal.

At the very least, it buys an extra year of trying to find a long-term replacement for Klingberg at RD.
