Ottawa has three goalies on 1 way deals already, and even if they didn't Georgiev isn't worth a high 2nd imo.

Curious where New York comes up with $8,500,000 x 8 years to pay J. T. Miller next summer?

Georgiev might get you a 4th not even close to a 2nd. Also that miller offer is laughable. Kakko would be a throw in for a Miller deal not the big piece

Time for rangers fans to understand that players who'll be lost on waivers don't get free picks from a team who gets first dibs on EVERY player on waivers

The way I looked at it is Georgiev is better than all of their current goalies and 2022 picks aren't as valued as future years.

You are going to get a lot less for JT than you want.

This would be a good explanation if JT had more than 1 year left on his contract.

Not sure, we'll figure that out when we get there.

So you expect to get a point per game center potentially at 2.6m for the year and think all you’ll have to give up is the biggest bust since nail yakupov?

Also you don't just "throw in" Kaapo Kakko

He’s certainly not valuable enough to be the centerpiece of a trade for a point per game star. Therefore you throw him in to add a little value

It’s not about Miller being a ppg star tho. You are getting Kakko (who might just need a change of scenery) Nils+more. For a player who is not resigning with Vancouver in a year and will most likely be traded anyway. (Also Nolan Patrick is the biggest bust since Yakupov lol)

And look what Buffalo got for Eichel compared to what we thought they would get.

No shot is he better than Forsberg. He was one of the best goalies in the league this year. Literally top 10 in goals saved above expected

Not sure Ottawa plans to move ahead with Forsberg. It was either gonna be Ottawa or Montréal for me. Because Primeau had a rough season and who knows about Price,

You are going to get a lot less for JT than you want.

Kakko, Kaapo - Scratched in elim game, high pick bust
Lundkvist, Nils - b grade prospect
Henriksson, Karl - 5'9" C, less than 1/4 point per game in the SHL
Robertson, Matthew - LD, we dont need
2023 6th round pick (WPG) - the change in your pocket.

    quantity does not equal quality.

start with Schneider, if you dont want to, then there is your answer.
