When Poile said he’s spending this off-season he doesn’t mean by getting a Jason Zucker

Even clearing all that salary, you still gave Geno no suitable wings. And we're going to have to give to get rid of Zucker.

I really don't know what you expect Kapanen's value to be at. He certainly isn't worth a 2nd and it's debatable if he's worth a 3rd. I went with the benefit of the doubt based on his extremely underperforming season. I love Kappy and I think he has a lot of potential but he just hasn't fit in Pittsburgh the way GMJR envisioned it. His value is low. Dump is an aging and declining defenseman with injury issues. I understand how under rated he is but his cap hit and injuries do not fair for his trade value either. However, I do see how some teams will overpay for him.

Would get more than a 4th for Kapanen
Would get more than a 3rd for Dumoulin

Rodrigues is NOT worth $3Mx3, maybe $1.5Mx3

If you think Kapanen's trade value is worth more than that right now you're honestly a brain dead hockey fan. I realize he has a lot of potential and had a down year but that still doesn't take away from what he actually produced. Dumo can definitely be worth for more but you have to keep in mind the major step backs he took this year and became a liability defensively; not too mention how injury prone he is. E-Rod is an extremely dynamic player and can be used in almost every scenario. He's great on the 2nd PP unit, can kill penalties, is great on face offs, can play both center and wing, and also can slot into the top 6 if need be and still be useful in the bottom 6.

HAHAHA. Calls me brain dead then blasts Kapanen and praises, uber-praises, Rodrigues.

By the way...

Quite true, although still better than the 100% of Habs fans that think we will give them assets to dump Petry on us so they can sign Letang for 5 million a year.

That one’s always funny. Or the sharks fans that send us Burns no retention for our entire roster.

I think that it would make more sense for Los Angeles to re-sign Alex Edler for 25% less than Brian Dumoulin's cap hit (or less) and probably get the same results (Edler played quite well for us before getting injured) while not having to expend an asset to acquire Dumoulin.
