Turcotte or Vilardi are pieces (likely one or the other) the Kings are willing to move for Chychrun. To move them within division and help Vancouver's cap woes would mean we'd want a budget top-6 player or a stud defenseman. Which I dont see vancouver moving.

VAN is not moving Horvat.

Jim Rutherford is a big Horvat fan: “I really like Bo. I’ve always liked him back to his junior hockey days,” said Rutherford. “There’s been good discussions with him after the season. He had a good year this year… and he’s got a lot of good hockey left in him. He’s a character guy, he’s a centre iceman that’s hard to find, and we believe that he should be part of our team going forward.”

Morrow is not available from Carolina, and Necas only gets moved for a roster upgrade, which there really isn’t much of one from the Canucks roster that would truly help the Canes if they ship Necas out. Garland would be an interesting piece for the Canes, but I can’t really see them shipping Necas out for Garland.

For Turcotte and Grans, Pettersson, Podkolzin and Hughes are too much, we don't want Boeser or need Demko, and no one else is worth them. Turcotte for Garland is possible, as is Grans and a second for Garland, as is Grans for Rathbone and a second.

Garland is locked in at ~$4.95M over the next 5 years and will likely be steady at putting up around 20 goals. Can the Kings find a 20 goal scorer at a similar cap hit in the free agency, I believe they can. So Garland doesn't do it for me. I'd want Podkolzin, and the Canucks wouldn't want to move prospect for prospect, so there is no future in trading between division rivals who are both aiming to compete this upcoming season.

For Chytil/Lundkvist I'd say probably have to give up Horvat or Boeser which VAN probably wouldn't do. Also Nemeth and Myers pairing would be far too slow and would be a disaster trust me you don't want that.

I mean... Thatcher Demko, Elias Petterssen, and Quinn Hughes would look good in Canes red if Necas is going out

It’s as relevant as you thinking you’d get any of the guys you mentioned for necas

A package including Necas? Yeah, that's very likely. If you didn't grasp the idea where Canes fans have said time and again that Necas is going to be used in a package to upgrade the roster, that's on you for not doing your research

While they would look nice in red, I was trying to be realistic. Those 3 are probably not going to be traded at all. Outside of those 3, the only player I can really see intriguing the Canes would be Garland, and I don’t think the Canes move Necas for him.
