-Arizona doesn't send anything back but the ol' Future Considerations. Weber's contract surely does have value for them - probably worth a 3rd/4th if they traded for it straight up. But Armia's a cap dump that would probably cost Montreal a 3rd or 4th to unload. If you want to work a pick swap in there, I mean, sure, but that's the best you'd get out of them on it.
-I don't think the Rangers consider this. They'll find a way to bridge Kakko at $2Mish before July 1st and split up Nemeth and Georgiev - deal Georgiev's RFA rights for a midround pick and attach a mid round pick to Nemeth to dump that deal.
-I'll caveat this with the "Chuck Fletcher is a terrible and unpredictable GM" tag, but if I'm in charge of the Flyers, I don't do that. They're a bad team that should be rebuilding and not moving a 2024 1st & an expiring deal for an older RHD with term left - it's very likely they are still bad the entire time left on Petry's deal. I'd hang onto JVR through the deadline, hope he can still be the 20-25 goal scorer he was this year, and sell him off at full retention for whatever I can get.
-Buffalo needs roster spots for their young wings like Jack Quinn & JJ Peterka - I can't see them really doing this deal unless you change the pair of 4ths into a 2nd or some sort of premium asset that they can't turn down. Otherwise they stick with what they got.
-This doesn't make sense for Edmonton - they're tight against the cap, so they send out Puljujarvi (a guy they can reasonably expect to sign for $3Mish) & a 1st to get back an older, more expensive player in Josh Anderson (who didn't even match Puljujarvi's production this year). Things need to shake out before I can say if they'd be interested in Jake Allen with retention - but at this point they have Mike Smith & Stuart Skinner under contract for next year and Skinner can't be stashed in the AHL without going through waivers anymore. If Smith sticks around it's likely they have to roll with that tandem in 2022-23.
