Interesting one.........

A couple questions for me:
1) Do we think Quick has enough left in the tank to carry the load through the regular season and playoffs?
2) Removing Willie and replacing him with Arvidsson - I'm a little worried that we're not properly replacing the offense on the second line, and teams will be able to hone in more frequently on the top line. And I don't see an adequate replacement in the system at the moment.

Quick won't be traded unless he asks
Danault and Arvidsson have been fantastic, losing Arvidsson and getting back Nylander doesn't help us that much in our top-6
Muzzin has concussion issues, has declined quite a bit, and would be required to waive for this trade to work.

Very unrealistic from the Kings side.

1. paired with Holtby UFA, I could see their 3 cups and load maintenance offering steadier, less volatile tending than what they got last year. And once again, Dubas is gonna lose a major component for nada. Quick + Holtby for 8mil aims to be respectable with rings.
2. this doesnt replace Willie. They shouldn't replace his type of shifty temperamental scoring in one person. Arvidsson is partly to restore PK after Mikheyev departs and there will need to be another piece added. Turcotte can go quite a ways in this regard... many teams looking to get younger ahem VAN Miller, for one, would listen in earnest to a Turcotte package. Or maybe go another way and net Gourde for Turcotte and Mrazek who can build some of his value while Driedger is on the shelf. Gourde and Arvidsson would give the Leafs a different look in the playoffs next year than one Willie Nyls.

I sensed it wasnt enough and dont know enough about Quick's contract power. I would submit that Willie's 30+ goals and 80+ points help the Kings a great deal, while Arvidsson is an equivalent health risk to Muzzin, maybe more because Muzzin may be sheltered a bit more in his 2nd stint in LA. Last season may have been a case study in Dman depth for LA.

Tryger, what would you need to make this deal work?

Quick gets to select if he wants to trade, he seems to be pretty clear on wanting to end his career as a King. He's had the option since the rebuild in 2018 but selected to stick with the team.

Arvidsson to Nylander is an upgrade for the Kings and cap relief for Toronto, however Turcotte is the piece that is still being thought of for Chychrun, so they would have to be out on him.

For two years of Nylander for two years of Arvidsson, the Kings would need to add but I think quick would be out of the cards.
