Why would you send away Ceci?
Why the **** would you send away Ceci and then proceed to pay Schultz more?
Why do you feel comfortable icing a RD group that's about as defensively-inept as possible?
Why do you leave Yamo unsigned?
Why do you give career-tweener Comrie 3.25mil but fellow career-tweener Wedgewood 1mil when both just had strong seasons?

Justin Schultz is a much better defenseman than Cody Ceci.... Kailer probably going to ask too much and I really think EDM lets him explore some options because they already have 5 guys combined for 37ish mil in their top 6. Comrie needs to prove himself as a starter so a bridge deal makes sense and I agree Wedgewood should get more.

These signing numbers are so ridiculous. Comrie doesn’t make 3.25m, Jesse doesn’t sign in Edmonton for 1.5, they don’t trade Ceci he’s there 1 defensive RHD. you made the defense worse, goaltending worse and arguably the forwards worse. that’s tough to do.

Gonna have to HEAVILY disagree there. What's your basis for believing that Schultz is better than Ceci? Beyond that, though, even if you think he's better, he does nothing to give EDM deployment options that could maximize the effectiveness of Bouchard and Barrie as he's at least equally liable to need soft minutes as they are. Furthermore, he's also 4 years older than Ceci.

Comrie will need a bridge in order to prove himself, but there's no way that bridge deal pays him more than 1 to 1.5mil. Has a team ever given a goalie 3.25mil to an unproven 26-yr old on the basis of a single season as a quality backup wherein he started just 16 of 82 games?

If you believe that EDM won't re-sign Yamo, at least have them trade him for an asset or something. They're not just gonna let a team-favourite become a UFA and "explore other options".
