Description
The calgary deal is fair tbh becasue they've kinda fallen out of love with dube but i could be wrong. If not calgary they trade holl regardless. Nashville deal is fair because kerfoot is valuable. I hope leafs are aggressive with he rfas and ufa but there's an extra 1.1 mill to spread around Campbell, sandin, liligren.

Not as sure as you are Calgary wants to move on from Dube. I'd personally rather buy Mrazek out than give away more assets, but that's a personal decision.

Don't like the Myers buyout from Nashville. Cap space this year in exchange for some next year. I'd rather use Kerfoot (who has value and is a good player) to try and trade for somebody who might be a better fit.

Agree with the Dube point. Moving Mrazek for a second or third isn't too bad imo.

I think Sandin requests a trade if they are being that aggressive with him, since he already has concern about his playing opportunity, and I don't think he would be excited to play on his off-side as well. Likewise, Liljegren would probably be upset as well, and demand a King's Ransom when his contract expires after the two years. Probably would lead to poor performance for both this season.

As for Myers, I think the Leafs would love to sign him if NSH buys him out if they trade for him they would keep him as a 7th D

I don't like the Domi signing, that's a lot of money for an unknown. He might struggle in Toronto or he might do great. I don't think the Leafs can afford that type of gamble

NSH declines. Regardless of however valuable Kerfoot is to TOR, having a competent backup and not going three straight years without drafting in the 2nd round is considerably more valuable to NSH than acquiring a middle six rental.

So askarov is that far away from being a competent back up?

I don't think sandin and liligren will command more then 1.2 mill each and sandin did miss a decent chunk of time so his value could be diminished during the contract talks. Domi was just someone who i thought could fit as a bunting type player whos looking to rebound. I personally would want nichuskin or nick paul. But idk what the leafs think tbh. They are both those power forward type of players that can score.
