it seems like, addressing the right side, there is a gaping wound and we are putting masking tape over it. It works for a bit, it aint pretty but time makes things worse in the end and you are left with the same problem later on

        Kulak > Myers

Of course it's just masking tape, Canucks need to develop a RHD of their own to eventually become a long-term impact player

I think for the money yes, but in that case why dont we just keep myers and then get a bigger haul next year?

What makes you think Myers's value is going to increase next off-season? He's already a positive asset this off-season as is. Is that not enough?

after july 1st he will have a salary of 1m, so not only are you getting a big RD, it is only costing you 1m in real dollars, he could fetch a 2nd or a prospect and not have to retain salary for a team like ARZ who will be making little to no money and will be wanting to cut the amount of money that they spend and will need to get to the floor

Really? I heard Keane and Sellgren were both really falling out of favor in the organization

It's definitely a risk reward scenario. If Myers has another steady season then he has real value with 1yr left on his contract but if he regresses (which is certainly possible) then we are likely saddled with his 6m contract for another year.

I think it was from some other Canes fan. Granted, it was a while back, and maybe that fan doesn't follow the team as closely

The Devils would never make that trade.. they have 0 reason to trade a 23 year old ppg player

Bratt has one year as a PPG player under his belt, only ONE year, and Miller comes with an extension

        1. You can never guarantee an extension
        2. Miller only has 2 seasons above ppg. The first was his first year in Vancouver when he only played 69 games, and the 2nd being the career year he just had.

23 years old versus a 29 year old who just had a career year and would be 30 at the start of that extension. Your on some crazy **** if you think that’s even remotely comparable AND a high 2nd too? It’s laughable you’re really trying to defend this. I find it funny considering so many acgms are trying to ship off Miller when they clearly value him astronomically high.

Excuse me, but Miller's value IS astronomically high right now, the market for him IS going to be astronomical this summer. You're just another butthurt Devils fan because your team hasn't made the playoffs in forever

And Miller is a more complete player than Bratt even if he's older

Excuse me, but Miller's value IS astronomically high right now, the market for him IS going to be astronomical this summer. You're just another butthurt Devils fan because your team hasn't made the playoffs in forever

And Miller is a more complete player than Bratt even if he's older

Cool, then some other team can pay the price. You’re “astronomically high” if you think the Devils will do this.
