Quoting: Knuckl3s
Boeser had a down season for understandable reasons, but if you don't want to do your research, that's on you. Everyone knows Boeser is a better offensive talent than the likes of Danault, Bonino, and Donato. I was never denying that Fiala is better than Boeser, but you're still undervaluing Boeser
I never said Boeser was a lesser offensive talent than those 3. I just pointed to a stat to help show the gap between him and Fiala. Obviously it's an exaggerated gap going strictly off of that data point but it's still a fact based point.
Boeser is better than the production we saw this past season, I don't think anyone will tell you different. But, he's still never been the sniper he gets credit for when off of the PP. His QO is also a huge reason for Minnesota not to do this, regardless of the value (which is heavily swayed in Vancouver's favor)
This offer is an easy no for Minnesota, they downgrade and still need to clear cap after making it. It's awful for them, it makes no sense
And if you fail to see how Boeser's lack of 5v5 production, qualifying offer, injury history and Minnesota's cap situation makes this an unappealing offer, I don't know what to tell you.
Also, a down year from Brock, which I'm not even focusing on, is still a part of negations, he's taken off the lotto line and he struggles? Not a good look. Especially since Fiala just put us his numbers with 50 games from a rookie Matt Boldy opposite of him and Freddy Gaudreau as his center. Again, not a good look if you're trying to convince Guerin to take this
