not sure if we'd be competitive or not but this would be a jump start, i feel like boston wouldn't take that deal but i would love it as a sharks fan

I don’t see why not. It’s 3 great prospects, two of which are centers which they lack, and the 11th overall. It’s a great jumpstart to a rebuild for them.

Are the Stars really that open to moving Dellandrea?

He’s probably the furthest prospect they’d move, and it’d have to be a cheap player who plays a position of need that could help the team. Burns at 5 million fits in that category, only problem is if Dallas can fit him.

Awesome that's good to know. Luckily for Dallas, they look absolutely set at center with Johnston, Stankoven Bourque etc. I honestly think they could get Burns for even cheaper if they did a three way including Arizona. Could end up being more like 3 or 4 million if they really wanted it to happen. I think Burns at anything below 6M is a great deal though.

Tbh that’s a good idea, not sure what Arizona would want for 2 million for 3 years.

Not totally sure either but there are a lot of cap dumps they've taken recently which can be looked at as comps

Ladd: $11M over 2 years cost two 2nds and a conditional 3rd
Ritchie: $5M over 2 years cost a 2nd (but they also traded Lyubushkin to Toronto)
Stralman: $5.5M over 1 year cost a 2nd and an okay prospect
Gostisbehere: $9M over 2 years cost a 2nd

I would probably guess 2 mill for 3 years would cost a 2nd and change at most. It only totals $6M and Arizona wouldn't be wasting a roster spot.
