I don't think so Myers is a solid amount of money for what he brings and Hoglander as much as I like him regressed last year pretty good so I say no.

Myers is going to cost you a 2nd at least just to get rid of him for that 2 year 12 million dollar cap hit. So you are giving up a 3rd and a prospect who has dropped off. No this is certainly not enough

Myers isn't going to cost the Canucks anything to dump

Myers > Hronek

Hronek sucks as well

Hoglander went through a bit of a slump, he didn't "regress"

He's still a valuable young asset

Cough cough, what? He is a 32 year old defenseman who makes way to much money, 6 million for a defenseman who can not score. He will cost something in a cap world where very few teams have cap space to absorb the contract for the production. I am not saying he is bad, but he is way overpaid for what he is at this stage of his career.

Hronek is not stellar but has better production, offensively. He is also 6 years younger and cheaper. He just needs the right linemate to be better. Over the last two years he has been saddled by Leddy, who is also a defensive liability and then a group of non stellar players.

Saying Myers can't score is the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time. Sure, he isn't prolific offensively, but he generate a decent expect goals rate, and he isn't heavily overpaid either. RD already command a premium price on the trade market, that alone is enough to make Myers a positive asset

Myers also skates better than Hronek, and Hronek's reads are no less consistent than those of Myers, despite being younger
