Fiala's value may be diminished until Minnesota sorts out their cap situation. If, however, there are three or four teams in on him, it could drive up the price. Minnesota fans should be prepared if Fiala only goes for three pieces with top 4/top 6 ceiling (including early 2nd round picks)

Boucher's trade value is at an all-time low, might as well hold on to him for now and see if he can turn it around. Shouldn't take much more than 7oa and a B-level prospect like JBD or Thomson to get Fiala anyways.

The Boucher inclusion doesn't make much sense. He is probably worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick to most teams, purely off his physical intangibles, and the distant chance he becomes bargain bin Tom Wilson. Yet, to the few teams who were high on him last year like the Senators and Rangers, he might still be worth a 1st round pick. Unless Minnesota views him that way, including him doesn't make any sense.

With that said, the value is probably fine for Fiala, it just isn't efficient to include Boucher.

It has already been pretty strongly telegraphed that the Senators have put the 7th on the table for Fiala, the big question would be assuming no one beats their offer, what are the other 1-2 piece included. Gustavsson and maybe the TBL 2nd or a 2023 2nd makes sense to me. But there are probably a dozen different packages that might make sense when it comes to the two pieces beyond the 7th overall.
