Preds looking for another 1st or high 2nd round pick

Created by: Nik_SH
Team: 2022-23 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 18, 2022

Description
I think, that Preds must find the way to get another high pick (first 55 selections) at this draft.
They have a lot of solid young players, who's probably have no chance in Preds system (just remember Pitlick).
So I want to see some trades ideas, that will include such players and "high" draft pick in return. Please write your ideas in comments.
*Preds also can trade their 17th OA.

Who's not available:
All roster players, except Kunin and Ingram
as well as:
Svechkov
Askarov
Pärssinen
Evangelista
L'Heureux
Nurmi

My example (trade with Leafs):
Mrazek + Holl + 25th OA
for
Ingram + Myers + 82th OA

I believe Devils will try to trade their #37 pick. Does that get Kunin and Ingram?

right. i guess it made me wonder who's left that would get you a top pick. i guess kunin could fetch a second by i dont see many other players that would draw interest.

Probably Prokop will be an option for Canadians. He and Guhle are the dominant pair in WHL.
Campbell, Ufko, Farrance.... still enough nice prospects.
Also Preds have enough cap space to take on a bad contracts.
And of course Preds can trade their picks. Example 3rd + prospect = 2nd.

Don't think that it will be enough for both.

I know that Kunin has downgrade year, and his price isn't high, but I think he still worth 55 (+/-10) OA by himself.
And Ingram should cost late 3rd or high 4th round pick, IMO.

Why wouldn't leafs just move their 2nd in that case to get rid of mrazek? Buying out Myers already makes sense and not a single one of those players is worth the jump down.

Luke prokop is our best right handed defenseman which is probably our weakest spot as far as prospects go. I wouldn’t get rid of him unless we get someone to replace him

Of course they can still pay 3,8m$ for the next two season for a goaltender with huge injury history, and 88,8% save in 20 games. Effective usage of money for a "real" contender👍

I agree that it is one of the weakest spot, but I think, that we will have a chance to find a better replacement later (probably at this draft). Fabbro and Carrier are still young and really not bad at all.

Prokop has the potential to surpass carrier for sure so trading him would not be good asset management. I’d rather trade carrier and sign Manson to a short 3-4 year contract than trade prokop. Sorry I’m just really high on him right now and look at him being our best defensive prospect. Even over farrance who I hope gets his shot soon
