I don't agree with is the Sturm AAV. He should be closer to 1M, if not then go with Helm again or someone like him at 4C
I don't think Sakic will trade Macdermid right after extending him but that's a very minor move anyway so whatever
Aside from that this looks pretty good and is well thought out. Maybe add in a couple minor trades for prospect swaps (Kaut & Bowers?)
I agree on the Sturm AAV, and if Helm does not retire I too was impressed more by him these playoffs. I just thought since we traded Jost for Sturm that Sakic would give him year or two more.
I put trading MacDermid just as an option for 23/24 if Avs need a million more in cap space, but yeah, otherwise just keep him till the end.
And sadly I don't know much about other teams' prospects, but sure, I agree if it's not working here. Saw on some other post how Kaut's game is not really suitable for Bednar's system, so swapping them for fast and strong bottom 6 prospects maybe.

seems like a waste to just let manson walk to sign an old stas and gudbranson. I think there will be enough money, sakic will figure it all out
I agree, but I think term will be the issue with him, this upcoming season I think the Avs could afford him for up to 4M, but later when Byram, Newhook, Toews and younger guys in bottom 6 I don't know how it will be possible. And since he is 30 I think he would like one more multiyear deal. I do hope Sakic figures something out cause he seems great partner to Girard.

Sakic will negotiate hard, I’d throw the Rust contract at Nichushkin that gets his AAV down to 5.25, Lehkonen I’d throw years on it to get him down to $3.5, Statsny if you can’t get him to come for $2M he isn’t coming for $3.5M, Sturm is overpaid by about a $1M get rid of Gudbranson and resign Manson.
Although yes, that could be one way to bring Manson back, save 1-1.5 M long term on Lehkonen and Nichushkin, and add it to Gudbransons 1.7, and almost there.
