For Philly to consider a deal around JT for 5th overall (if they ever would), they'd want to make sure they can extend him. So adding Dickinson with the extra contract year definitely wouldn't help them.

Flyers don’t want other crap for Miller. The idea would be to extend him and maybe sign another star like Johnny Hockey to actually have a good core. Taking on other contracts limits that and just makes the trade not make sense
