Othmann is not joining the team next year, he's barely AHL eligible...

He's not AHL eligible because of age. But he's already a top player in the OHL and is too good for that league, and he would fit as a bottom 6 LW on either line. Is it the best idea? Probably not. But it's not worth writing off. Similar situation to Duclair in 2015.

I think the Rangers are hoping Gustav Rydahl can win the 3C spot next season. Could happen.

I'm doubting Nemeth has cap rich teams on his trade list. And if find a team to take him....Rangers add a sweetener.

I don’t know what plans the Rangers have for him, but seeing his contract is league minimum I don’t think they’re exactly significant. Compare that to Andrei Kuzmenko’s contract for example.

My assumption is Goodrow will be the 3C.

This is not like Duclair. Sure he had a good OHL season, but that's the OHL. He's pretty much guaranteed as a full-timer in 2023-24, and MIGHT get some games in 2022-23, but there's no way they rush him into a bottom 6 role at this point. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they loan him to Sweden or something.

I doubt he ever sees a game as a Ranger. He’s trade bait.

Dude both Drury and Kravtsov are saying they want him on the team next year. Why would the Rangers trade a talented prospect, with a super low trade value, and who wants to play for the Rangers?

Yeah I'm not sure how you're interpreting the situation. He can't play in Sweden (would require the agreement of the CHL - which they don't ever grant because a contract is in place). There's 2 options -
1) Hold him back in the OHL which he already has dominated. So you'd be stagnating his development.
2) Move him to the the NHL - the next step in his development.

Seems like he'd be a natural fit. Super high shot generation, strong defensive play, And if he's not up to par you just send him back to the OHL where he can just put up numbers. Similar situation with Duclair in 2014. Ridiculously good D+1, Rangers brought him up from the Q to play some sheltered minutes. He got traded and Arizona sent him back down.

With the Rangers I'd be a lot more worried about stagnating than rushing.

Im not sure why Kravtsov’s opinion on Othemann matters, but the reason he doesnt play for the Rangers is because we have an unreasonable owner who lacks the patience to build this team up properly.

Yeah I'm not saying this guy would be our 3C I was just calculating how much money we have left after the re-signings and letting some people go.

I just wanted to get rid of him to see how our cap looks like without him, Im aware itd be a harder task than i made it look but it should be a priority for Drury to get rid of him this summer.
