Why trade Nils for a small, bottom 6 forward?

Why would the Canucks trade Hoglander for a small RHD who struggled in his only year in North America?

Then don't, and everyone in this conversation is happy.

Arguing about whos more valuable between Dach and Kakko is akin to arguing about which color you prefer.

Canucks decline Lundkvist isn't the defenseman needed and not for the cost of Hoglander

Every Canucks fan I watch games around curses out Hoglander with his stone hands but ok, i guess he's untouchable in some parallel universe of missed scoring chances.

Where did I call Hoglander untouchable? I just said he's not worth giving up for a defenseman that isn't needed. Learn how to read

Well entering the playoffs Kakko was also coming off wrist surgery that kept him out of action for 30 games. I don’t mean to imply that the Blackhawks *should* make this trade, but in all honesty Kakko goes before Dach in my redraft.

I've watched a lot of both players and honestly, they are neck and neck. KK has more upside which is why he was drafted first, but it's hard to say at this point who will develop better. All things being equal, a center is more important but again, KK has more upside. Neither have developed the way both teams have hoped so far. If you took Dach's first season, I would take him all day long, but since being out the following season and coming off of the wrist surgery, he has not looked good, but KK hasn't looked great either which is why he was a healthy scratch in the playoffs.

I think he meant NY declines the first trade and Vancouver declines the second one

Oh right, that makes sense, I couldn't quite tell

Stone hands? Where'd you hear that?
