I would go with that trade no matter which Devils LD the scouting staff selected. And there are also possibilities with Jordan Spence -- if, for example, Smith is considered by both scouting staffs to be superior to Grans. Thanks!

Yeah I think this kind of swap would help both teams out. Bahl is ready for the NHL, smith is already in it and Grans should be ready to at least debut this upcoming season.

I want one more year of grans, I think his value will go up. He’s understanding the game much better, could break out this season.

Fitzy likes big D men. I don’t see us moving Bahl unless it’s in a bigger deal. I know of grans but haven't watched. If devils don’t pick a right D (nemec or jiricek) at 2 we are light in the pipeline on right handed d men. So the may be a deal to be made. If it’s for Smith, even after a bad year LA would have to add. However I don’t think either team would move on just yet. Maybe next offseason

Grans is 6’3 so I think a straight swap of him Bahl is fine, we have plenty of big LD so I wouldn’t be very worried, and yeah smith would probably need a sweetener like a 3rd or low 2nd maybe
