Anaheim immediately hangs up. If you are a trading a Top 5 Defenseman in the league you don't get a top 6 forward. You would expect back an Elite Forward. The Enstrom deal is awful beacuse well.. That contract is awful. He's also old as dirt, we already have a old defenseman. We don't need another. Logan Stanley coming back isnt great. He is an unproven defenseman without any NHL experience.

Sorry, i just completely disagree with this.

Both Winnipeg and Anaheim say No, Kevin Cheveldayoff isn't trading Ehlers and Bob Murray isn't trading Hampus Lindholm.

You could get Fowler for Ehlers, but I find it hard to believe that ANA would move Lindholm for anything other than a superstar which is unrealistic. Also, idk why WPG would want to trade Ehlers.

There is absolutely no way that Winnipeg should be moving Ehlers let alone Ehlers plus a 2018 First plus a first from last year plus Toby on a super cheap cap hit. Ehlers is one of 3 players under 21 to put of 25+ goals and 35+ assists last season. The other 2 are McDavid and Pasta. You don't trade these guys. Period. Ehlers was in the top 30 for scoring in the entire league. To be fair he was 30th, but still. He is an elite offensive talent and if you watched him play you would realize that he was absolutely snakebitten on breakaways early in the season so his counting stats should be even better. Would love to have Lindholm and you have to give to get, but this is an overpay that I wouldn't be able to stomach. I don't think either team moves either of these players. At least neither team should consider it.

Interesting..... I know every team overvalues there own players and undervalues players from other teams. I do agree Lindholm is a stud D....but EHlers is 21 yr old with 25+ goals and 60+ points and would have a TON of value from any team in a trade. Enstrom was inserted as a 1 season add on for defensive depth....2 millino was retained, so at 3.75 he's a good value. Stanley was a 2016 1st rounder so you can't hold his lack of NHL experience against him.

I'm not saying that Anaheim should do this deal....but to argue that there are no good pieces in it is a little far fetched...its as far fetched as other Jets fans saying that there is no way Jets should trade Ehlers . Well, I love him and think he is gonna rack up points for many years....but we would definitely trade him if it brought back a player like Lindholm.
