Yzerman wants a 2nd line winger, He'd be fine for one year, And you can flip him at the TDL for a decent return.

What is with all these Killorn trades? He's such a high character guy and a great leader, wouldn't Tampa Bay miss that going forward in their contention window?

Better to get value now for Killorn while keeping a more important player in Palat and also Paul(or in this example, a quality acquisition like Crouse+Paul). Despite a bad playoffs, Killorn's value is still solid after a career high season in points. It's straight best asset management to get something for him now then watch him, and potentially Palat, walk for nothing

Palat and Paul are more important that Killorn? I never would have guessed

Palat is, and the team can only realistically keep one of Palat or Killorn moving ahead. They can watch Palat walk for nothing now, with no one really there to take hus 1st line LW role, then watch Killirn do the same after next year. It's better to trade Killirn now when he has higher value and is more replaceable on the 2nd line.

Yzerman is looking for a right shooting RW not a LW. There are no roster spots open at LW.

Yeah i didn't know that Yzerman was seeking a specific winger, Thought he was just looking at a 2nd line winger either LW/RW.

The rumour was for a specific player (don't remember the name - getting old) but what's missing is right shooters on the top-6. Vrána, Bert, Zadina, Fabbri, Berggren, Söderblom are all left shooters. The only right shooter we have is Raymond (and Sunny but he's not making the top-6).

Perhaps Yzerman trades for Brock Boeser fills the need RHS RW for something around Filip Hronek as the Nucks want a young top 4 RD and Hronek fits that to a tee.

Possibly, but then we have a hole on RD and nothing to plug it with.

I think it's more likely that Kemell or Lekkerimäki is drafted or that Alex Nylander or Kasperi Kapanen can be acquired from PIT.

Cap problems could really turn out to be a huge benefit for Detroit this summer. LD fixed by cheap trades, right wingers with upside walked and signed for nothing, 2C available as UFA...

Yeah Kasperi Kapanen is a real possibility, I'd do a 3rd and 4th round pick for Marcus Pettersson and Kapanens RFA rights.

Yeah let's not over-value Brock Boeser, Hronek is a 24 year old RD that's averaging nearly 0.05 PPG and better than what Vancouver has at RD now makes the same money as John Marino with better scoring numbers.

VAN isn't even able to afford his qualifying offer, they're not in a position to keep him and have to take the best offer they get.

brock had a down year in a year that his fathers health was failing. he's averaged 0.76ppg over the last 3 seasons combined. vancouver will have lots of options.

hnonek bleads goals against. very one dimensional offensive dman. lets not overrate him just because he puts up 30 some points a season. detroit would have to add another good piece imo.
