What was Duchene's return when he first got traded? How many years did he have left on his contract?

We're not running back the same core, and even if we did, we wouldn't miss the playoffs for another consecutive season

Duchene had 2 seasons left on his contract when he first got traded, the remainder of the 17-18 season (november on...so everything but 1 month) and the 18-19 season. If you wanted to look at a comparable using Duchene, its his 2nd trade you'd be using. A 1st round pick and 2 C level prospects (with a conditional 1st if he re-signed, he didn't).
