That wouldn't get you Cat on his own let alone including Dach. The funny part is your description in the trade explains why Chicago would never accept this trade

Shane Wright would be the 1st pick. You think Cat is worth more than an elite two way Center. You’d be getting Toews 2.0 with extra prospects for a winger who is being over valued (look at Fiala deal), and a prospect who’s looking more and more like a bust

The first overall pick would be great but nothing else of value there. They would get far superior offers from other teams. Referring to the fiala deal isn't really a good argument since fiala isn't close to as good as debrincat. If you argue that norlinder is a good prospect then you better scrap your argument about dach being a bust. He's a year older and hasn't made the nhl yet, I know people might expect more from dach but he's still very young.

Insanely low chance of wright ever being as good as toews. Takes quite a bit more to get cat.

Yes, 1000% Cat is worth more then Wright. 1 is a proven elite NHL PLAYER, the other is a prospect. There is not a chance any team in the league that owns Cat would trade him for Wright.

Well draft “expert” Grant McCagg keeps calling Wright garbage, and as we all know, he’s never been wrong ever.

Do you have any evidence to support that Wright is with a young 40 goal scorer and a former 3rd overall? No you do not.

This is a shallow draft and if Wright had been in last years draft he would have gone 9th or 10th. In next years draft he wouldn’t even be top 5.

Wright has a 97% chance of being a 'star' player which means hed be in the top 18.5% of WAR in the league. Dach is nowhere near close and doesnt look like he'll make in Chicago. Like Kotkaniemi in Montreal. Cat is already there, but hes 23 so 5 years older, and has 1 year left. Hes gonna want north of 8 million. Hawks need to rebuild, what better way than to have the future 1C of your team already locked up.

Wright does not have a 97% chance of being a star player. Where did you grab this absurd number from? People said the same for Nail and he can barely crack a KHL roster.

TopDownHockey An actual source. Where did you grab the absurd notion that Wright is Yakupov?

I like Patrick Bacon (he covers my team more than any other) but you're taking this way out of context betting all your projections off of one single player card on twitter. Laughable at best.
