Carolina isn't necessarily "selling" Necas, although he's rumoured to be available; he's going to go out in a hockey trade, not a sell off at lost value. He could go for a 10-15 first or an equivalent prospect, which is considerably more than what's being offered here.

If I'm a Ducks fan I'm all over this, I just don't see this being even remotely close to Necas' true value.

This doesn’t come close to getting Necas. Either a team forces the Canes hand with a trade that blows them out of the water, or Necas is moved in a package for a goal scoring winger.
