Sergachev prefers the right side pretty sure. He’s way better than John.

I like having a natural righty and I am comfortable with Marino.. dont see a need to get rid of our first in this type of deal.

Ya this would assume Pettersson or whoever is moved from from left side. Would have to sign a RHD or trade for one. Sean Walker and Damon Severson may be options. Defintly needs to be making more moves if they do that, but i feel a good guy to have to help pass the torch when Tang is gone or if tang in gone. Marino is dope but Sergy could be even more dope, but Left Handed.

Ya help me out a
on what you would think picks would look like, Cuz its kind of a wierd swap. It helps tampa keep their team other than a couple so its almost a win for them, probably not gunna have much money to sign Sergy anyways.

no he doesn't and most of his time is still on the left
when asked about playing the right on Bally sports he said he didn't care where in a manner that made it clear he prefeered the left.

If pens dont resign letang. Marino is the only top 4 RH Dman on the team. I would even consider him a top pair so there is no way Pens would take another LH defenseman. and no way new mgmt giving up their 1st rd pick

Ya Marino would really have to make up for it one the right side and lean on cernak foote more. It not better but it should handle themselves fairly well. LD spot is open for a trade deadline or rando free agent.

Can't see McDonagh waiving to go to Seattle and honestly, while he's great, @ this "stage"of tbe Kraken franchise, Seattle is better served keeping Soucy and rhe draft picks, especially.

Ya not really the most attractive place to go at the moment if you want to win. But the fit seems so perfect for Seattle, got alot of young guys that could use some guidance. Its somewhat close to Home? It does seem unlikely though

Pittsburgh passes, the very last thing they need is another LD.

And no way is Ryan McDonagh waiving for a cellar dweller team in Seattle.

Really successful in Tampa, could be returning the favor and going somewhere that will offer a real return, in draft picks at least. He can always ask for another trade in a year or two to a contender if it goes ****ty. Can always find a positive lol

I see that posted a lot on here. Seattle actually has quite a veteran roster; they need/want younger players, both for the roster and their development system. They also have a log-jam with LHD, of sorts, with Oleksiak, Dunn, Fleury, Cholowski, AND Soucy. I don't think it's a great fit, personally.

Confused. Am i reading you right?? One idea is to sell McDonagh on the trade as him "returning a favor" of some kind to the Lightning for all the success!?! Pretty sure he was a BIG contributer to that success and it's exactly those contributions that Tampa will be selling other teams on in trade talks. Reaching, my friend!! Reaching!

Ya welcome to the NHL, having a surplus of LHD. Fluery and Soucy can play on the right side. Swaping Soucy for McDonagh is someone Fleury could play with, even Dunn. Being able to play with a guy like that would be tremendous for the couple young dudes they have.

Indeed reaching, but just one thought towards a very complex decision with alot of factors. It always makes more sense to go to a playoff team. Looks like tampa may be looking to just unload McDonagh's whole contract.
