Many talk about NJD as possible location for Gaudreau, but Newark is not much closer to his home than the Beltway.

I believe that he has a house in ocean city nj. That's about a 2 hour ride because I'm about an hour and a half from prudential in the same direction. Washington is 3+ hours from me.

Yeah, its not equidistant.
But it would be close enough to get there in season, just wouldn't commute day-in, day-out.
If he wants to be home, its Flyers (or Phantoms).

Gaudreau will probably cost $10-10.5M but Caps don't need Holtby, Lybushkin, and Larsson so you save a lot of money there.
