Just wait till next year when it's time to do it again to make room for Cirelli, Sergy, Cernak, Killorn. One of em will have to go, and it's probably gonna be the only UFA in that group

Killorn isn’t resigning there (maybe for league minimum) but yes it’s gonna be hard

And with this structure, you can afford to give Palat the Danault contract and then sign another LD for $1 million instead of 2

I didn't mean $5.5 million x 6 years specifically, I was just referring to the fact that you probably have room to pay him up to $5.5 million AAV. He might well be offered that.
