Description

I by no means think this is going to happen, but with Toronto needed a goalie, and Florida wanting to get rid of Bobrovskys contract, this seems like a simple 1 for 1 deal.

Does it happen? No. Does it help Florida with their cap situation? No. Florida needs more than just Hornqvists $5.75 coming off the books to get Huberdeau and Weegar signed, but just seemed like a fun idea to post.

*EDIT*
Yandles buyout drops from $5,391,666 to $1,241,666 -and Darlings $1,183,333 is gone, so there is a little more cap. Still don’t think it happens.

Both players have no reason to waive. But if there was no NTCs involved, don't think the Leafs would make the trade.

Tavares is younger and his contract is shorter, not to mention he's been at worst very good since being a leaf unlike bob on the panthers. No dice for the leafs

No real 'why? here for the Leafs. They are trading a productive center who's younger and on shorter term for a goalie who hasn't come close to living up to his contract and signed to longer term.
