  3. Zacha, Pavel [RFA Rights]
  4. 2023 1st round pick (NJD)
  5. 2023 2nd round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
This proposed trade I think only gets somewhere if Montreal goes slafkovsky so pencil in Shane Wright
NJD
  1. Tkachuk, Matthew [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Debrincat got a 1st 2nd and 3rd. And yes I understand Chicago had a desperate need for a high draft pick. If Johnny packs his bags and heads out I think Calgary could possibly quickly resetting. And Shane Wright would be a lethal punch with Lindholm. Zacha is a middle 6 with a need to change scenery similar to bennet. And Mukhamadullin is not in Russia and plays in North America now. Ty smith is a year removed from a top ten finish for the Calder so he still has value he just turned 22

Big difference is the return. Ottawa paid a lot less for two years of DeBrincat then what you propose for one year of Tkachuk.

yeah treliving doesn’t lose trades this badly. he doesn’t usually win them by a wide margin either though. so he’ll probably get exactly fair value for tkachuk, if he were to hypothetically get dealt

I don’t think any GM is going to look back at the Debrincat trade as a measuring stick. They’re all laughing at Chicago
