“Future Considerations” - Had to make a trade as the Blackhawks did not qualify him so he will be headed to FA. This is a great pick up for Edmonton that reunites the two Erie Otter line mates.

Additional Details:

The Red Wings have just signed Husso meaning they will not need NedelJkovic in the long run. I believe a fresh start in Edmonton can benefit Nedeljkovic giving him a starting role on a winning team. Puljujarvi is gone for sure and it’d be nice to see a return for him rather then nothing.

This trade is perfect and will benefit both teams in my opinion. Barrie improved defensively this past season while putting up points as the power play quarterback in Edmonton. With Evan Bouchard Emerging he isn’t needed in Edmonton anymore but he can be the perfect QB for Seattles power play. Soucy is the exact type of defenceman Edmonton has been needing.

Detroit declines. Yzerman has planned to have 2 goalies splitting starts next season. The Red Wings don't exist to help the Oilers or any other team out. Holland will be signing Campbell. You have Skinner. Be happy with that.

Ned’s value is much higher than Puljujarvi. Detroit passes on that deal easily. I don’t see them trading Ned; but a Jesse deal could be possible. Maybe for a 3rd rounder or the STL 2nd Detroit has.

Lawson Crouse and Warren Foegele are close to the exact same player. Crouse is not worth a first plus Benson. Not even close. Oilers fans are way overvaluing Crouse. Foegele already is a physical bottom six guy with a manageable cap hit, don't need to spend a ton of assets to get a different guy

The Husso trade does nothing to lower Ned’s value. They’ll play as a 1A/1B tandem and IF they find themselves in a playoff race, they’ll ride the hot hand.
