To be fair, and not saying this is a fair deal, there is absolutely nothing obvious about PHI right now.

No way the Sharks are retaining $4M for the next 3 years AND giving up a 2nd round pick and gaining a whopping ~15 spots in the draft.

Touché

Apparently they won’t move assets to move JVR but I think that just means theyd want market value to drop him which would be a downgrade from a late first to an early 2nd or they’d do it in some sorta big deal… for all I know Fletcher will just trade him and Provorov with a first and Brink for a hot dog vender named George whose played NHL 22 once

You never know, George could surprise you.

He could sell burgers too.

I think the 'wont use assets to move JVR' would change of Johnny Hockey agrees to a deal with them but who knows where he wants to play

Honestly won’t be shocked to see Johnny sign a 1 year deal with Philly and extend 8 mid year. If he really says money isn’t a deciding factor I don’t know what to expect. I think his parents are closer to Buffalo now but the kid I knew his dream was to be a Flyer and get his number retired in Philly… haven’t seen him since he was like 9 so times change but we will know by the EOD
