Domi isn't worth that contract. It's a good location for him because he will get playing time, but doesn't make much sense for Chicago.

The goal is to tank Domi being the star should insure we win the lottery next year

This is a solid signing. Domi is a gritty player and can give you 15-20 goals in a season. I agree with some of the people here that Domi will probably be flipped at the Deadline.

He had one good season with Montreal, but that was a while ago. I guess he could get a lot of ice time, which would help his stats, and then they could flip him at the deadline. But that's complicate and just signing him for a reasonable amount would be better.

He was likely signed as a PP specialist. They moved Debrincat and Kane. They need forwards who can play the PP.

They will pump up his points since someone has to score on a rebuilding team, and maybe they get a 3rd for him at the deadline.

Yeah, but what playoff team is going to want a 4th liner making 3 million? There will be many bigger fish that can be had at the same price.

Hey you know there's something called retention in salary right?

I mentioned it in here I think. But Chicago will retain on both Kane and Toews to maximize value meaning they'll have 1 more retention on everyone else. Don't think they should be wasting it on Domi

Dude is a feisty player who can put up at least 1/2 a point per game and play centre and wing. At times has put up way more.

He has his flaws but how is he not worth 3 mil for one year?
