Description

Assuming reports are accurate, the Isles have a sub-$10m offer on the table. By my math, we can go up to about $9.5m on Gaudreau and only need to move Bailey to field a lineup. Anything above that likely means Beauvillier traded as well. Now if it was me? I'd still do it and figure out his replacement.

If the Isles went to $10m, for example they'll probably have around $3.8m for Beau's replacement. Kubalik at $2.5m to DET earlier today would have been nice. Maybe a hockey trade for Beau involving a slight cheaper young player? Max Comtois?

This is interesting. I hate being this close to the cap, since we can't call up anyone, but this is a good thought.

Chicago may be interested in Bailey too.

well you'd certainly have to give up assets to get rid of Bailey + Panik. Id also assume Romanov gets a good amount more than that

a Gadreau trade would mean we move Varly and Beau. Bailey isnt getting traded. Lou said he has never been on the block.

Lou isnt the type of guy to do anything now without having moves coordinated. We would need to see a few trades now and then we sign him

Not enough for dobson and romanov, could see dobson or possible romanov offersheet, funny if montreal offersheeted romanov. probably need to move Beau I'm confident you could get a second round pick for him
