I feel like there has to be something bigger. This specific trade would depend on Bert and Canada's vax status. But there isn't space as of now for Berggren, Veleno, or Zadina. And all 3 should make the team and have roles. I still like Zadina with Vrana. This is the only way I see the young guys fitting, where you move Suter and one of Zads/Berggren.

And I would like to publicly state again tbat Chiarot sucks and Steve must have been on hard drugs when signing the papers

The really weakness is expecting Copp to be a centre especially a second line centre.

So your idea is to compound the problem by trading for a 34yr old dman to play with Chiarot. Then giving up 3 good assets to rent Tkachuk. Holding on to Suter might also be wise plus we could probably get more for Veleno.
