I would sooner they keep one of Holl or Kerfoot than sign Strome. I feel like you can find better value than him. Guys who can chip in but also play PK and be physical.

Isn't that really silly trade for Seattle....Two picks for an UFA and still finish out of the playoffs. Gee, Strome at the Seattle would be much better if Strome signed with Seattle.
Another impractical 21m man roster with no 7th NHL Dman.

Yeah I am happy with that but I just don't see Strome as the right guy, I don't think he would fit with JT and Nylander. He's not the grinder type guy they would need. I would even rather swing for the fences and trade for Miller at 50% salary. It would cost a lot but it would absolutely solve the 2LW situation. You would be able to keep the defence depth we have and likely even be able to add some one else and have room at the deadline.

Kerfoot absolutely has value and if he fits in Seattle wouldn't they then want to extend him? And if he fits but wants to go UFA, he's a high value asset at the deadline.

I agree he is high value at TDL....but I don't see where his cap fit into a contending team starting in October. And let's not get into the nonsense of why Seattle wouldn't want to extend him. They can sign as a UFA next summer and keep their picks.

Look at the money people are throwing around right now? How could you possibly think there isn't one team who would see Kerfoot at 3.5 as a major value contract? Guys who he out performed are getting around 5 million! He out performed Mikheyev and he got 4.75! So what would Kerfoot cost as an FA? 5? 5+? Come on now, even bubble teams will see major value in his services. At worst they have a major asset to flip at the deadline. At best he finds a really good situation and becomes a part of that teams future. Moving him is easy.

As for Holl. Gudbranson just got 4+ million. I would much, much rather have 2 Holl's over one Gudbranson. He has decent value without question.
