Description
GOALS GOALS GOALS

Gaudreau can maybe unlock Roslovic and Bjorkstrand. Thats a very good defensive line too, with the potential to also score 90-100 goals.

Laine, Jenner and Voracek really seems to have good chemistry last year, and if not for injuries, Laine could have maybe had 40 goals. Boone could very well put in 30 again.

The kid line is a huge unknown right now. Johnson and Marchenko look really good, but need that game experience and time to adjust. Sillinger showed some great potential last year, but with two young wingers, this line could struggle defensively. Although, with all the offensive pressure put on opponents from the top two lines, maybe this one wont be checked as hard and can gain some favorable matchups.

Fourth line has speed and toughness, and still has the ability to chip in 40ish goals if healthy. The Nyquist/Foligno trade feels like a good one for both teams. Both players are great veteran leaders, so neither team loses that value. Boston wants some more scoring but cant do so without shedding Foligno's contract, and CBJ need to shed a little cap to get Laine signed. It fits just right if Laine signs his QO, then he and CBJ can work out a long term extension.

Laine on a 1 year deal? I thought it would be long-term

From a Bruins fan perspective I'd be all over this. seems to help both teams, Foligno would likely no block the trade as CBJ is turning the corner real fast so the contender element is there and he obviously has lots of good history there. also gives CBJ a couple mill in cap space as you mentioned. B's probably need to tweak thing on their end to make the cap work but i like it.

This scenario has him signing the QO at the lower cap hit for this year to get under the max, then continuing contract negotiations for his extension.

Jackets will dump Nyquist without taking money back. Easy decline.

They also aren’t walking Laine to UFA status when he will be playing with gaudreau

I still think letting Bemstrom walk is a mistake.
