I'm surprised Detroit hasn't made a cap dump type move to acquire Pettersson. He'd be a great fit as a LHD and is better than Maatta plus they might be able to get an additional asset for taking on that cap.

Might be better than Maata, but he's also redundant to Maata and doesn't make sense anymore. Maata is a good stopgap for the year in case Edvinsson isn't quite ready for the top 4 yet and then next year when Wallinder makes the team (maybe Johansson too), we're all set for years to come -

Zadina hasn’t lived up to much and we have Veleno & Berggren from the same draft year 30th&33rd plus all the prospects coming around. So why not let him walk like Svechnikov another 1st rounder that didn’t meet expectations.

What pisses me off about that pick is I wanted them to take Quinn Hughes that year but Holland was sleeping there.

Yes I do think he has potential but wasn’t he suppose to go to Montreal 3rd ovrall and slipped down to 6 there’s something there about his game that’s not our style in North America
